PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid fuel combustion device having the tip position of an ignition rod prevented from changing for a long period and capable of retaining stable ignition characteristics. SOLUTION: The liquid fuel combustion device comprises a vaporizer 2 having an electric heater 1; a burner head 3 having a plurality of burner ports 4 formed in the inner side of a peripheral edge; an ignition plug 5 having an ignition rod 50 the tip part 50A of which faus on the inner side of the peripheral wall of the vaporizer; and a high voltage generating device 13 connected to the ignition plug. A mixture of liquid fuel gasified by the vaporizer and air is injected from the burner port of the burner head and discharge is effected on the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the vaporizer from a tip 50B of the ignition rod of the ignition plug to effect ignition for combustion. In a so formed liquid fuel combustion device A, the ignition rod of the ignition plug is bent at an acute angle astride the peripheral wall of the vaporizer and the reinforcing member F to hold an acutely bent shape is situated at the ignition rod.
