PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an ink ribbon from having wrinkles by loading the ink ribbon to an adequate loading path. SOLUTION: Under a condition that the ink ribbon and a thermal head are separated from a platen roller, attaching or detaching of the ink ribbon can be carried out by operating a ribbon attaching/detaching restricting member and the ribbon loading path can be formed at an opposite side of a recording paper pressure-supported by a separation pin along with the operation of the ribbon attaching/detaching restricting member. By working the attaching/ detaching of the ribbon together with the formation of the ribbon loading path, the loading of the ink ribbon can be adequately carried out when the ink ribbon is replaced with another one.
