PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device using a cathode-ray tube, capable of fully inhibiting color shifts and achieving significantly high picture quality by reducing the rate of errors in the positions of beams. SOLUTION: The display device has a cathode-ray tube having an electron irradiation means 13 for irradiating with electron beams, a display panel 10 which is colored by the electron beams reaching the panel through color selection electrodes 20, and an internal magnetic shield 12 for magnetically shielding the electron beams. The internal magnetic shield has local portions 14 where magnetic resistance is greater than other portions.
