PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal, in which power consumption of a reception section of the portable terminal is reduced while maintaining an intermittent reception operation. SOLUTION: The portable terminal can reduce the power consumption for an intermittent reception operation at a standby state and is provided with an analog/digital converter section 106, provided with a high resolution analog/ digital converter 106a and a low-resolution analog/digital converter 106b, a reception level measurement section 112 that measures the reception level with the timing of the intermittent reception operation, and a control section 111 that switches high-resolution analog/digital converter 106a or the low-resolution analog/digital converter 106b of the analog/digital converter section 106, on the basis of the reception level and fluctuations in the reception level. |
