PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and inexpensive standby power reduction device with a simplified configuration without the need for using large-sized and expensive electronic components. SOLUTION: The standby power reduction device is provided with AC power output terminals 2 connected to a power supply device, a telephone line output terminal 4 connected to an electronic device, telephone line input terminals 3 receiving an external call signal, a telephone line output terminal 4 supplying a call signal to the electronic device, a 16 Hz detection section 10 that detects the call signal received by the telephone line input terminals 3, a timer section 11 that measures time when the detection section 10 detects the call signal, and a signal synthesis section 13, a 2nd switch section 14 and a 1st switch section 5 that start supply of power to the electronic device in response to the detection section 10 detecting the call signal and terminate the supply of power to the electronic device after a lapse of a prescribed time set to a setting section 16 in advance by the timer section 11. |
