The invention concerns a plant container comprising a hollow truncated body (1) tapering from its top edge to its bottom edge, said body comprising at least two guiding grooves (3). The port further comprises a concave base (4) whereof the top part (8) is oriented opposite the top edge. The provision of aerating and draining orifices (6) which are in contact with the air circulating between the pot base and the ground causes the roots to dry up thereby preventing formation of a roof mat.
