<p>A dewaxing additive for mineral oils which comprises a polymer (A) comprising units derived from a (C1-16 alkyl) methacrylate (a) and units derived from a (C18-22 alkyl) acrylate (b), the total amount of the units (a) and (b) being 80 % or more based on all structural units and the proportion of the units (a) to the units (b) being from 5/95 to 80/20 by weight, and having a crystallization initiation temperature of 20 to 50 °C; a mineral oil composition containing the dewaxing additive; and a method of dewaxing with the dewaxing additive. The dewaxing additive is highly effective in improving filterability. The mineral oil composition has improved filterability. The method of mineral oil dewaxing attains improved filterability.</p> |
