<p>A temperature-indicating disposable lid for beverage containers provides users with a reliable method of determining if, before they drink it, a beverage is too hot in temperature to safely and comfortably imbibe. The inventive device includes the following: a flexible disc-like body (14), a snap fitting outside rim (10), a slot opening (12) at the periphery to allow the beverage to pass from the container to the user, and a non-permeable tapered cylindrical protrusion (16) which at the distal end has a temperature indicating tab (18) on which is a chemical or substance that is formulated to change color when a liquid that comes into close approximation with it reaches a particular temperature.</p> |
