PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a physical distribution information service system allowing the transmission of positional data in less throughput amount and at less communication cost. SOLUTION: The physical distribution information service system for transporting articles to be delivered according to transportation request from customers with a transporting vehicle while seizing the current position of the transporting vehicle with positional data being received at a center acquires the positional data from the transporting vehicle at certain intervals for GPS data with a GPS receiver and transmits the GPS data to the center in constant cycles. Furthermore, when the transporting vehicle arrives within a delivery destination recognizable radius straight distant to a delivery destination, data for completing loading and unloading is transmitted.
