A TRANSPORTABLE BUILDING AND SELF-LEVELLING CHASSIS THEREFOR

A transportable building (10) having a longitudinal chassis (38) that includes two parallel I-beams (40-42), each I-beam including a top and bottom flange connected by a web. Pluralities of elongate beams (44) extend laterally across the top of both I-beams and are adapted to support a floor (32) of said transportable building. A front member and a rear member are connected normal to and across the respective front and rear ends of said I-beams. A frame (46) is connected to and extends around the plurality of elongate beams the frame adapted to support sidewalls (34) of the building. Attached to each end of the front and rear members are leg supports (30) that slidably support legs (28), each leg adjustable in its height. This enables a building to be positioned quickly on a site. In a further aspect of the invention there are provided foldable walkways (100) that during transportation are simply folded to the side of the building and then unfolded when the building is set up, the walkways also having adjustable supporting legs.
