METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FAILURE DIAGNOSIS OF LEAK LIMITED TYPE SHAFT SEAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for failure diagnosis of a leak limited type shaft seal capable of diagnosing existence of any failure easily and quickly. SOLUTION: The failure diagnosing method consists of a measuring process, a rate-of-flow varying factor specifying process, and a judging process. The failure diagnosing device is equipped witch a measuring device 40 having at least a first to a third temperature sensor and a rate-of-flow sensor and an analytical processing device 43 to specify the rate-of-flow varying factor of a seal fluid and perform judgement whether any failure exists in the seal.
