<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with the safety of a conventional mechanism for establishing the jump of a paper feed cassette with the restoring force of a spring that it has higher speed and abrupt operation. SOLUTION: When a whole cam gear rotates counterclockwise, a push-up portion 12 of a rotating cam 10 pushes up a tapered surface 5 provided on a protruded portion 3 at the rear end of the paper feed cassette 1. Thus, the fitting of the protruded portion 3 of the paper feed cassette 1 to a cut portion 11 of the rotating cam 10 is gently cancelled. When the rotating cam 10 further rotates counterclockwise, the tapered portion 13 to a shielded portion 14 pushes a rear portion of the piper feed cassette 1 and so the whole paper feed cassette 1 is slid frontward along a rail. At this time, the shielded portion 14 shielding a detecting signal is moved to permit a paper feed cassette detecting sensor 15 to detect the condition of 'the absence of the paper feed cassette'.</p> |
