PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a paper feed part for feeding blank forms and long paper and a sorting mechanism for preventing the double feed of the paper to be fed via the paper feed part, allowing two sheets of paper to be separated by using the sorting mechanism for pushing a friction member against one of the two sheets of paper to be carried overlapping each other to prevent the carriage, while preventing the sorting mechanism from opening on the paper during feeding the long paper. SOLUTION: The image forming device comprises detecting means 23 for detecting that the long paper 17 is fed by the paper feed part 14 and the friction member 29 approachable/separable to/from the paper, wherein the friction member 29 can be moved in the direction of separation from the paper when the detecting means 23 detects that the long paper 17 is fed.
