PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium sheet with an image recording face and a method for printing only on the image recording face of the recording medium sheet. SOLUTION: The sheet 10 as an image recording medium has an image recording face 12 on one face and an invisible magnetic coating 14 on the back surface 16. The magnetic coating 14 contains encoded data used for determining a non-printed face of the sheet 10 to prevent printing from being performed on a wrong face of the sheet. The encoded data are readable by means of a machine and contains information related to printability of the image recording face of the sheet.
