CONE EXCAVATE TEST DEVICE FOR INVESTIGATION OF GROUND

PURPOSE: A cone excavate test device is provided to evaluate compactness and hardness of ground in an easy and convenient manner by simply attaching the test device to the equipment existing in the field. CONSTITUTION: A cone instruction test device(100) comprises a probe unit(200) including a load(220) having a cone(210) attached to an end of the load, a load cell(230) attached to the other end of the load, which senses excavate resistance of the cone, a displacement meter(250) for sensing excavate depth of the cone, and a load cell housing(235) for connecting the other end of the rod and an end of a piston(245) of a hydraulic cylinder(240); a hydraulic pump(300) for applying a hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic cylinder, and applying force to allow the cone to be excavated into the ground; a controller(400) including an A/D converter module for converting analog data measured from the load cell and the displacement meter into digital data, and an indicator(410) for displaying load, wherein the controller controls the hydraulic pump; a computer(500) connected to the A/D converter module, which determines compactness and hardness of the ground by judging an excavate load based on the data measured by the load cell and the displacement meter; and a mounting bracket(260) attached to the hydraulic cylinder of the probe unit, which has a bolt hole for mounting the probe unit to a heavy vehicle.
