PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D/A converter circuit which deals with digital signals of high bit numbers and has superior linearity and a small space factor. SOLUTION: A capacitor division type DAC is provided with capacitances not for all bits one to one, but only for the bits of a digital signal of less significant bits one to one. During the reset time, a voltage having a level corresponding to a digital signal of significant bits, is given to one electrode (first electrode) of the capacitance to charge it, in write time, a voltage having a level corresponding to a digital signal of less significant bits is given to the other electrode (second electrode) of the capacitance to charge it.
