PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize interframe noise in video frames. SOLUTION: The method utilizes hysteresis in image processing algorithm to minimize interframe noise in video frames and includes a step of receiving a video frame and a step (206) of determining a measurement in the video frame, wherein the measurement is associated with an image control feature. The method also includes a step of providing a target value and a tolerance, and a step (208) of calculating an error value by using the measurement and the target value. The method further includes a step (216) of comparing the error value to the tolerance and a step (222) of adjusting the image control feature in response to the error value being greater than the tolerance.
