PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a new 5,5-di-substituted thiazolidine derivative having two substituents at the 5-position and especially aryl groups on the substituents and an agricultural and horticultural fungicide effectively usable as a pest controlling agent having remarkable pest controlling actions or an agrochemical composition providing plants with resistance and having insecticidal, fungicidal and mildewproof actions for agricultural and horticultural uses. SOLUTION: This 5,5-di-substituted thiazolidone derivative has pest controlling actions and is represented by the general formula (I) (wherein, R1 denotes a 1-6C alkyl group, a 1-6C haloalkyl group, a 3-6C cycloalkyl group, phenyl group or the like which may be substituted; R2 denotes a 2-6C alkyl group and a substituted phenyl group or the like having a specific group; X denotes oxo group, imino group, hydroxyimino group, an arylimino group, carbamoyloxyimino group or the like; Y denotes oxo group, thioxo group, hydroxyimino group, an arylimino group or the like; and Z denotes phenylamino group).
