A method for treating a liquid (e.g. water) with a gas (e.g. air) containing ozone includes passing air through a corona discharge ozone generator to produce air containing ozone and introducing the air containing ozone into the liquid; passing air through the ozone generator, and, periodically altering the concentration of ozone produced by the ozone generator by periodically de-energizing the ozone generator or changing the air flow rate through the ozone generator. |
