The heat exchanger consists of a fin (6) to go in a tube (2) of a heat exchanger with fluid flowing through it. The fin is corrugated in cross section, creating parallel flow channels (8). There are also recesses (10) in the individual valleys or apexes of the corrugations, connecting at least one flow channel with at least one other, not directly adjacent, flow channel.
