摘要 PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to form capacitor electrodes to overlap gate wires and partial data wires, for increasing the electrostatic capacitance without any decrease of aperture ratio. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes gate wires(75) and data wires(93) intersecting each other, gate electrodes(73) connected to the gate wires, a gate insulating film covering the gate electrodes and gate wires, an active layer formed on the gate insulating film, overlapping the gate electrodes, an ohmic contact layer formed on the active layer, source electrodes(83) formed on the ohmic contact layer to be connected to the data wires, drain electrodes(85) formed on the ohmic contact layer and facing the source electrodes via predetermined channels, an organic insulating layer covering the source/drain electrodes and the data wires, capacitor wires formed on the organic insulating layer, overlapping the gate wires, an insulating layer formed on the capacitor wires, and pixel electrodes(91) at least partially overlapping the capacitor wires and connected to the drain electrodes via contact holes via the organic insulating layer and the insulating layer.
