PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new G protein-coupled receptor protein and its DNA. SOLUTION: The G protein-coupled receptor protein of the present invention and the polynucleotide encoding the receptor protein are useful for (1) the determination of a ligand (agonist), (2) the preparation of an antibody and antiserum, (3) the construction of an expression system of a recombinant receptor protein, (4) the development of a receptor-coupled assay system using the expression system and the screening of a drug candidate compound, (5) the operation of a drug design based on the comparison with a structurally resembling ligand receptor, (6) the preparation of a reagent for the production of a probe and a PCR primer for genetic diagnosis, (7) the production of a transgenic animal and (8) the preparation of an agent for genetic prevention or treatment, etc. |
