PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the detection of an abnormality caused by a contact failure when cracked gas exceeds a threshold while dispensing with work for the determination of an increase trend of the cracked gas for which several weeks have hitherto been needed in determining an abnormality, and to obtain an abnormality detecting device having high accuracy capable of exactly detecting contact resistance and the generation of the cracked gas in detecting the contact failure. SOLUTION: In the abnormality detecting device for a gas-insulated apparatus that insulates a conductor contact part 4 with gas filled in a vessel 1 and detects an abnormality of the conductor contact part 4, the detecting device comprises: a contact resistance detector 9 for detecting an increase of in contact resistance that is one of phenomena generating by stages in the process of the contact failure to develop to an accident; a cracked gas detector 6 for detecting the cracked gas that is one of the phenomena; and a determination circuit 12 for comparing an increase in the contact resistance in a certain period of an output value of the contact resistance detector 9 with a predetermined threshold when an output value of the cracked gas detector 6 exceeds the predetermined threshold. The detecting device determines an abnormality when the increase in the contact resistance exceeds the threshold. |
