PREPARATION METHOD OF POLYBUTYLENE TEREPHTHALATE WITH GOOD DURABILITY

PURPOSE: A method for preparing a polybutylene terephthalate resin is provided, to improve the durability, the heat resistance and the humidity resistance of the resin by reducing the content of the terminal carboxyl groups of the resin. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of the polycondensation process during the melting polymerization, wherein adding 0.01-10 parts by weight of an epoxy compound to a polybutylene terephthalate resin with a melting flow index of 75-110 g/10 min, as a terminal group encapsulating agent. Preferably the solid polymerization is carried out after the melting polymerization. The epoxy compound is represented by the formula 1 or 2, wherein R is an aliphatic or aromatic group or their combined group.
