PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for digital video capture which are used for capturing recorded video data in a computer system. SOLUTION: A read part reads a frame of the video data. A detection part estimates file size and scene change. In a dividing part, the video data are divided, the divided video data are stored finally in some video files, individually, and the data are stored in the computer system. Consequently, the video data are divided into some perfect video files, and frames containing the same scenes can be stored in the same video file. Hence, quality and effect of video editing are nicely improved.
