PURPOSE: An apparatus for cleaning steel billet in a continuous casting line is provided which prevents heat loss of the steel billet and increases productivity in a process of removing oxidized scale and foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for cleaning steel billet in a continuous casting line comprises a steam generation part(10) comprising a steam generation tank(12) in which a steam generation pipe is arranged, and which is installed on the upper part of a passageway where the steel billet passes through, wherein water supplied through a water supply line(20) or a water supplementary line(24) is filled into the steam generation pipe, and a steam storage tank(14) which is connected to the steam generation pipe, and on one side surface of which a steam injection port(30) is installed; a moving part(40) comprising a rail(42) installed on the upper part of rolls (R) where the steel billet is moved, a plurality of wheels(44) and motors(46) that are installed on the side surface of the steam generation tank, and a connection member for connecting the wheels to the motors; and an injection part(50) comprising a frame(52) which is installed between rolls on the moving path of the steel billet, and at the rear of which a steam inlet pipe(56) contacted with the steam injection port is installed, and an injection nozzle port(54) which is formed on the inner surface of the frame.
