SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR E-MAIL SERVICE HAVING ENCRYPTED MAILBOX FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A system and a method for an e-mail service having an encrypted mailbox function are provided to prevent an e-mail stored in the encrypted mailbox from revealing the contents by adding the encrypted mailbox function. CONSTITUTION: A customer database(104) stores the personal information and a registration state of a user. A web server(103) shows a page fit to an object of the user connected through an Internet network(102) by using a PC(101). A web page part(105) includes the information needed to offer a homepage and a service. A general mailbox database(108) stores the mails read and confirmed by the user, stores the deleted mails and stores a new mail of the user. A mail server(107) permits the user to use the function related to the mail after connecting to the web server, controls the generation, the modification and the deletion of the encrypted mailbox according to the user's selection, and makes the user use the encrypted mailbox after an authentication process. An encrypted mailbox database(110) stores the receiving mail in the encrypted mailbox generated by the mail server.
