If B=S, all diode pairs CR 1 , CR 1 <SP>1</SP> to CR n , CR n 1 are non- conductive, and transistors Q p , Q n do not conduct, giving outputs E, G (negative being regarded as " on "). If B>S the diode CR<SP>1</SP> corresponding to the most significant inequality conducts, Q p is turned on and applies negative bias to the base of Q n to produce outputs E, G. If B < S the transistor Q 1 -Q n corresponding to the most significant inequality conducts, causing all the following transistors Q 2 -Q n to conduct but Q p remains off to produce signals E, G.</p> |
