PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pick up an image with little distortion by pasting an imaging element and to pick up a dynamic image without time lag in each imaging element and between imaging elements. SOLUTION: The apparatus has a radiation generator 1 for releasing radiations as pulses to a subject 2 intermittently, a converter 3 for converting the radiations from the subject to optical signals, and an imaging element 4 for converting the optical signals to electric signals and outputting signals based on the electric signals. The imaging element consists of plural picture elements arranged in plural rows with an optical/electric converting means for converting the optical signals to the electric signals and an outputting means for selectively outputting electric signals or signals based on the electric signals, and outputs electric signals or signals from the picture elements via the outputting means to output lines disposed in each row.
