PURPOSE: A method of automatically routing a proxy in an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) is provided to transmit a register message to an SIP server of a home domain of a user, by an SIP server of a domain moved by the user, and to automatically register a present position of the user, thereby enabling the user not to update self registration information while moving between domains. CONSTITUTION: A user registers a self present position to an SIP server of a domain where the user moves, by a register message(S200). The SIP server of the moved domain analyzes the register message, to decide whether the user belongs to a self home domain or the user moves from other domain(S210). If the user moves from the other domain, the SIP server of the moved domain adds registration information of the user through the register message transmitted from the user(S220). The SIP server of the moved domain finds out a home domain address of the user from a user ID(S230), and obtains an SIP server address of the user's home domain from a domain address included in the user ID(S240). The SIP server of the moved domain transmits the register message to an SIP server of the user's home domain on the behalf of the user, to register the present position of the user(S250).
