PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetron of high reliability, capable of inhibiting the heat generation of an inductor forming an input side noise inhibiting filter circuit of the magnetron, without making a filter box large, and inhibiting the cathode reverse heating of the magnetron. SOLUTION: The inductor forming a filter is connected to a cathode terminal of the magnetron body, the inductor connected to the cathode terminal is composed of a core-type inductor having an air core non-densely wound-type inductor, where the inductor connected to the cathode terminal is connected in series, and a core, and the air-core non-densely wound-type inductor is connected to the cathode terminal side. The air-core non-densely wound-type inductor is composed of a part of small non-densely winding pitch and a part of large non-densely winding pitch, and the part of large non-densely winding pitch is connected to the cathode terminal side.
