PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize higher-speed data transmission within a narrow band and higher-density information recording. SOLUTION: The signal processing method for a recording device comprising inputting an input information series to a precoder, recording the output of the precoder to a recording medium, reproducing signals from the recording medium, subjecting the signals to waveform equalization, decoding the output of the waveform equalizer by a decoder and reproducing the original input information series, in which the scaler input information series is converted to vector information and the vector information is recorded as a scaler signal to the recording medium by modulating means. |
