摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material, having a low price and high reproducibility which is applied to a dye-sensitized photocell. SOLUTION: This electrode material for the dye-sensitized photocell is composed of a semiconductor, to the surface of which dye is attached and generating electromotive force by the irradiation of light, and the semiconductor is made of titanium oxide powder to the surface of which an acid, such as nitric acid, is attached. The manufacturing method is such that the titanium oxide powder produced by chemical vapor deposition method is dispersed into an acidic aqueous solution having a pH of 2 or less, then dried to form a porous film. A photocell 1 is composed of a titanium oxide semiconductor electrode plate 2, a platinum electrode plate 3, a film adhesive 4 for fixing the distance between both electrode plates, and an electrolyte. The titanium oxide semiconductor electrode plate 2 is manufactured, by forming a titanium oxide porous film 22 in the specified region of a transparent glass substrate 21, on the surface of which a SnO2 electricity conducting film is formed, and then making the dye adsorbed in the titanium oxide.
