PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram reflector and a reflection type liquid display device using the hologram reflector in which bright display can be obtained and a specified image different from the image to be displayed by the liquid crystal can be displayed without consuming electric power. SOLUTION: The hologram reflector is produced by dividing a hologram into a plurality of regions based on the desired image information, controlling the direction of the exiting light in the divided region and recording a mask pattern by exposure so as to add the image information to the reflected light. An image (of the mask pattern or the like) different from the image displayed by the liquid crystal can be visually recognized in the direction according to the above control. |
