PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system in which a floor area over a plurality of floors and an area to which a building area is added or an open ceiling area are automatically added/subtracted and the building area and total floor area can be calculated without separately considering the numerical data of columns. SOLUTION: In the CAD system for automatically calculating the building area and the total floor area, the area to be calculated is designated by a rectangle input means and on the basis of an area value which is obtained by calculating the floor area of a room for each of floors while considering the half value of a numerical column width value, an addition area and a subtraction area are respectively added and subtracted so that the building area and the total floor area can be calculated.
