Hair dye compsn. comprises consisting of ground plants or parts of Impatiens Balsamina plants as the dye. Also claimed is a process for dyeing hair comprising: (i) formation of an aq. dispersion contg. ground plants or parts of the species I. Balsamina in a liq. carrier of a consistency suitable for coating the hair and adhering without dripping after application; and (ii) contact between the hair and the compsn. for a period of time sufficient to give the desired colour.
