PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music data distribution service which uses an electronic musical instrument whose play mode is set by a plurality of operation elements to automatically play music in accordance with music data. SOLUTION: A personal computer 2 selects a desired piece of music. A music data distribution server 4 downloads set information 7 of the desired piece of music to the personal computer 2 after making a billing server 8 perform billing processing. Next, the server 4 distributes music data of the desired piece of music as a stream. Music data includes not only normal playing data but also set information indication data. Set information indication data reads out preliminarily downloaded set information at its event timing. An electronic musical instrument 1 receives music data reproduced as a stream from the personal computer 2 together with read-out set information. |
