KEYPAD STRUCTURE FOR CELLULAR PHONE

PURPOSE: A keypad structure for a cellular phone is provided to optimize a backlighting effect of a keypad by forming a plurality of asperities for having a broad surface area in a lower portion of a key so that a light radiated from a luminescent element is spread to more many broad areas. CONSTITUTION: A PCB(4) has a fixed contact point(2). A dome switch(6) is located on the PCB(4) in a state in which the fixed contact point(2) is covered. A plurality of keys(8) push the dome switch(6) and perform a calling signal and an other function of a cellular phone. A luminescent element(10) is installed on the PCB(4) for providing a backlighting when using the cellular phone. The key(8) has a base(12), a key top(14) protruded from the base(12) to an upper side, and a plurality of asperities(16) formed in the central portion of a lower surface of the key top(14).
