PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an occurrence of a signature with edge folding, creases or the like during high speed operation in regard to a folding device provided with a folding roller suitable for high speed operation. SOLUTION: A pair of folding rollers 1a and 1b is provided in a folding machine of a rotary press, and a cutout part 8a formed by faces approaching an axis from a circumferential face and axially extended so as to be parallel to the axis is provided in a one part of the outer circumferential face of each folding roller 1a and 1b. The cutout part 8a is smoothly and continuously connected to the circumferential face. A phase relationship between both folding rollers 1a and 1b is set so respectively formed cutout pars 8a face each other when the pair of folding rollers 1a and 1b oppositely rotates. |
