PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift device that can lift and lower a load via a simple structure using fewer motion mechanisms that a conventional technique, can reduce manufacturing cost and can smoothly and accurately position (lift and lower) a lifting platform to a desired height. SOLUTION: The lift device comprises a bed 2, the lifting platform 3 disposed over the bed 2, outer lift arms 4 and inner lift arms 5 interposed in a crossing position between the bed 2 and the lifting platform 3, and a geared-motor- equipped lifting and lowering drive mechanism 6 for lifting and lowering the lifting platform 3 via the outer lift arms 4 and the inner lift arms 5.
