摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rope groove measuring method and a measuring tool for an elevator sheave capable of measuring a condition of the abrasion of the rope groove of the sheave installed on a position retracted from an outer periphery of a housing of a hoisting machine. SOLUTION: A reference face 11 of a lower end of a guide cylinder 8 brought into contact with groove shoulders 9 at both sides of the rope groove 5 of the sheave 4, and a gauge bar 15 provided with a spherical part 16 having a diameter corresponding to a diameter of a main rope hung on the rope groove 5 is inserted into an insertion part 12 of the guide cylinder 8. The spherical part 16 of the gauge bar 15 is abutted on the rope groove 5, and the abrasion of the rope groove 5 is measured on the basis of a relative position of indicators 12 mounted on upper end parts of both of the guide cylinder 8 and the gauge bar 15 abutted on the rope groove 5. Whereby the abrasion of the rope groove 5 located on the position retracted from the outer periphery of the housing 2 can be easily and accurately measured by means of the guide cylinder 8, the gauge bar 15 and the indicators 12.
