PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the flame-retardant properties of a flame-retardant elastomer composition prepared by compounding a styrene/ethylene/butylene/styrene block copolymer (SEBS) with a small amount of flame retardant (comprising expandable graphite and red phosphorus). SOLUTION: A polyphenylene ether is added to a flame-retardant elastomer composition prepared by dispersing a flame retardant comprising expandable graphite and red phosphorus in an SEBS.
