PURPOSE: Damper spring structure of a lockup clutch for a torque converter is provided to reduce vibration and noise, and to transmit power stably by deforming damper springs linearly with modifying the structure of a connecting member. CONSTITUTION: A lockup clutch is composed of a clutch plate moving axially, a clutch facing generating frictional force, and a damper spring absorbing impact in actuating the clutch. The damper spring has plural arcuate type springs(12), and connecting members(14) inserted between springs to distribute compressive force in the contact portion. The side contact of the spring is prevented by arranging plural springs with forming the circle, and inserting connecting members between springs. Vibration and noise are reduced with restricting concentration of stress, and stability is improved with decreasing wrong operation or breakage.
