PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the strength of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: This device has a display panel PNL, a circuit board PCB3 which is provided on a specific side of the display panel PNL and has a connector for connection, a metallic shield case SHD which contains the display panel PNL and circuit board PCB3, and a lower case MCA; and the circuit board PCB3 has opposite short sides and is provided with at least one electronic component which is electrically connected to the circuit board PCB3 between the connector and at least one of the short sides and the lower case MCA nearby the connector has a cut formed.
