摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a magneto-optical disk which is high in detection accuracy of signals and is high in recording density by making the surface roughness of grooves or lands smaller and making the taper angle thereof greater. SOLUTION: The master disk for the optical disks including a glass substrate 70 and a chromium film 71 which is formed on this glass substrate 70 and is subjected to patterning to the prescribed shapes corresponding to the tracks of the optical disk is provided.
