PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to boost total output of a hybrid vehicle without causing an engine to raise revolutions abruptly when brisk acceleration is made. SOLUTION: This device comprises a generator 16, a driving motor 25, a battery state detecting means that detects the state of a battery 43, and a means 90 for setting and processing the target torque of the driving motor 25 that sets the target torque of the driving motor based on the state of the battery. Because the target torque of the driving motor is set, based on the state of the battery, driving motor torque is not made to increase, even if the vehicle speed is increased abruptly, by sharp acceleration which is caused when an accelerator is stepped on by a large amount. |
