PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately obtain a final stop position of a drive member without the influence of elongations of wires connecting a DC servomotor and a valve for controlling the motor. SOLUTION: A drive member 2 driven by a DC servomotor 1 is connected with an manipulation member 4 manipulating a valve 3 via wires 5 and 6 to drive the valve 3. When control is started, the motor 1 is driven first to turn the valve 3 to its full-open position, and after the motor is stopped, a drive current of the motor is gradually reduced to restore the drive member 2 slowly by the tensions of the wires 5 and 6. The position of the drive member 2 is stored in a memory as the final stop position of the drive member on a full-open side. Likewise, the final stop position of the drive member when the valve 3 is turned to a full-shut position side is obtained, and afterwards, the drive member is controlled to be turned between the final stop positions.
