PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding container capable of being simply assembled and folded. SOLUTION: The folding container is constituted with a pair of side walls 2a and 2b opposed to each other and another pair of side walls 2c and 2d opposed to each other, each side wall being connected to each side of a bottom wall 1 in such a manner that they are freely raised upright and laid flat. It is designed so that a gap substantially wide enough to allow at least finger tips of a worker to be inserted between opposed ends of the respective side walls 2a and 2b in a folded state is formed between the paired side walls 2a and 2b folded opposingly on an upper surface of the bottom wall 1. A locking portion 8 is formed which holds a gap substantially wide enough to at least the finger tips of the worker to be inserted between each of the paired side walls folded on the inner circumference of the bottom wall 1 and a bottom face.
