PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge which can effectively radiate heat accumulated inside. SOLUTION: The disk cartridge is equipped with a case formed by joining an upper shell and a lower shell rotatably housing a disk medium inside, an opening provided to the lower shell to make access to the disk medium, a shutter member provided outside the lower shell to open and close the opening, and a covering plate section with an opening for the access to the disk medium movably housing the shutter member between the lower shell. The lower shell and the covering plate section are provided with many small holes the position of the which does not align each other in a plain view.
