摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform optical output control within fixed time without delay regardless of whether an amplifying part is packaged or not in an Automatic Laser Shutdown(ALS) control system for a communication node in an optical transmitting system. SOLUTION: The states of packaging a received optical signal amplifying part 2 and a transmitted optical signal amplifying part 6 are detected and corresponding to this detected result, the input state detecting object of a received optical signal and the output control object of a transmitted optical signal are switched by a selecting part 8. Concretely, in the state of packaging the amplifying parts 2 and 6, the input state of the received optical signal amplifying part 2 is detected and corresponding to this detected result, the output of the transmitted optical signal amplifying part 6 is controlled. In the state of packaging no amplifying part, the input state of an optic/electric signal converting part 3 is detected and corresponding to this detected result, the output of an electric/optic signal converting part 5 is controlled. Thus, time for shutdown control for interrupting the output of optical signal in the case of fault and time for recovering the output can be almost fixed regardless of the state of packaging the amplifying parts and there is no delay.
